Each person selected by a department to fill a position shall undergo a medical examination, including drug free workplace screening, prior to appointment. An offer of employment by a department is not binding until a candidate has passed a physical examination based on town’s standards for performance of duties.
If a test is required as part of the qualification process, the People & Culture Department will coordinate and administer the test for those candidates that meet the minimum requirements. Testing includes, but is not limited to:
